We needed to compile a massive database of publicly available provider and insurance data, and we needed to plug it all into an easy to use google-map enabled website. We needed to ensure we could quickly search and provide geospatial results for healthcare providers in a radius around a zip code. Anyone can enter their zip code, insurance provider and medical procedure name to compare prices at different hospitals within a given radius, potentially saving thousands of dollars.īefore truly starting on this project I provided some proof of concepts.
